Sterling Silver Bear Paw Bolo TiesNative American Indian Hopi overlay design
These overlay bolos are hand-made and designed by Hopi silversmith, Harry Nutumya, of Third Mesa, Arizona and signed by the artist. The bear paw one is 2-3/8" long and 1-1/2" wide. The tips are a little over 2-1/2" long. The other one is 2" long x 1-1/2" wide at the top. They are heavy, nice pieces and are of excellent quality and weight. These are made when ordered and may take a couple of weeks to ship. They are sterling silver and are on a leather braided cord with approximately 2-1/2" high quality sterling silver tips. The length of the leather cord is usually 40". These designs are cut out with a fine cutting blade and soldered onto a second layer and smooth and polished so as to look like one solid piece, thus referred to as overlay jewelry which the Hopi silversmith is famous for.
